I was working in my studio in Madison County Virginia and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains often. I was sitting on a bridge over a small swiftly flowing creek and throwing small sticks in upstream to watch them navigste the currents. Occassionaly a stick would get caught up in an eddy and just swirl around and around. I equated this to the giant flood mosaics of the bible I had just seen in Ravenna, Italy. Then I equated it to myself, I had left the art scene in Dallas to concentrate on my work but now I felt hung up in slow water being out separated from the energy of a community. Treatment is a self portrait. I spent 18 years on Freud's sofa trying to understand life. Felt like I had my brain welded together which released all manner of bat-shit crazy. I'm feeling much better now thank you! I even wrote a book about my experience, "Creative Imagination" Sound Track: Garage Band, Plotaverse sound effects.
