Imagination is a very curious word. We have different meanings and variations for it. For example, we ask a man to use his imagination, meaning his current outlook is too limited and unequal to the task. And then we tell a woman that her ideas are “pure imagination”, implying that her ideas are unsound and beyond reality. Then we speak of a jealous or paranoid person as a victim of their own “imagination,” meaning that their thoughts are exaggerated or untrue. Then we praise a man with the highest tribute as a man of “imagination.” Even the dictionary reveals different meanings and uses, such as: (1) the picturing power or act of the mind, the creative principle; (2) a phantasm, an illusion of your imagination; (3) an irrational notion or belief that only exists in the mind; (4) planning plotting or scheming as involving mental construction.
Yes, I agree with these various definitions, but I am suggesting in this book that your imagination is much more than any of these definitions. Imagination is the most powerful tool we have as human beings. Imagination is the very gateway of reality. Your imagination is not an alternative to reality. Your imagination is the source of your reality.
